Suzanne
Rubin grew up in Batavia and St. Charles, Illinois, west of Chicago.
She attended Northwestern University and moved to Los Angeles to
attend Chouinard Art Institute, where she earned her BFA
in Design and Architecture. Suzanne also studied textile design
and art history at UCLA, computer graphics at Otis
Art Institute, and textile design and computer graphics at
the Royale College of Art in London. Suzanne studied photography
with Peter Reiss at UCLA Extension. While attending Premier Vision,
Europe's leading textile show, and London for ten years, she decided
to shoot photographs in Paris and London.
Suzanne's photography reflects her background both as a textile
designer and landscape painter. She has exhibited black and white
photography at the Hammer/UCLA Art Gallery, the Los
Angeles County Museum of Art (for three years in the Art and
Rental Gallery), and at shows at the University of Judaism and
many other galleries in the Los Angeles area.
